Our new format and earlier scheduling of the awards increased our reach this year, with more entries across a wider range of schools. Following online interviews of the top-scoring entrants Otis Headon (East Norfolk Sixth Form College) and Grace Yeo (Norwich School) were both awarded £600. Two further awards of £200 were made and one of £100.
While we received several conventional essay entries we also attracted short films and works of art including sculpture.
All our entrants have applied to Cambridge and the winners will keep their awards whether or not they are offered a place. As ever our interviewees highlighted what a helpful experience taking part in the awards has been for them.
